May 20, 2010 Amapala Eye Team

Three days a month we try to have an Eye Team in a rural area of Honduras...

These young men are volunteers from Unite For Sight...

We have lots of fun the first day and by the third day we are all tired...

One of the patients with one of the volunteers...

This is the island of Amapala...  This is where today's Eye Team set up and worked...

All loaded in the boat and ready to cross the water...

Eye exams in process...

Might as well have a little fun while on the job...

But did you get that on camera???

Crossing the channel between Amapala and Coyolita...

In between having fun we did work...

And then we had more fun!!!

Rolando is passing out eyeglasses...

Teresa keeps track of every single patient...

This is the line which was waiting for us when we arrived...

I think we left the eye chart hanging on the wall... ooopppps...

A happy patient...

The heat was unbearable even for the locals...

Victor Montoya who works for Zoe always helps with these eye teams... Thank you Victor and Zoe...
