December 1, 2012 La Colonia El Carrizal, Tegucigalpa

This kid was relegated to all day every day in bed.
But now life has changed!
Thank you Free Wheelchair Mission!

Everything had to be done for him by someone else!

Just a few short minutes later he was checking out the wheels!

Even though the faces do not look very happy, the people are thrilled!
The whole family wanted in on the photo op!

November 29, 2012 LA COL. NUEVA JERUSALEN

Always the same situation, they are in bed while the rest of the family is in the main room.

Then they get in the wheelchair and they are all smiles!

Then the family portrait with the "picture" faces that look so solemn.

November 14, 2012 In Colonias Suazo Cordova, Faldas Del Pedegral, Pedegral and Aleman

This little old lady was in bed under her mosquito net.
But she came out to receive her new wheelchair!

Everyone is happy as she is wheeled out of her room and into the family room.

Checking out the brakes, one has to know how to stop
on all these hills.

Literally most of the people who receive the chairs
have no feeling at all in their legs!
Nothing!
Nada!
The chairs help them become much more independent!

These wheelchairs donated by Free Wheelchair Missions help entire families become more independent!
Thank you to Congressman Renan Inestroza and to his foundation called An Answer To Be Able To Walk!
They help me with a lot of logistics, put the many of the chairs together and help me distribute many of them.

November 13, 2012 Wheelchair Giveaways

I pray every time I see him lift someone that he does not hurt himself!

Trying to figure out if she is going to be able to get up and down the steps with her new wheelchair.
If I have learned one thing in Honduras it is this, "where there is a will there is a way".

Dale and Gloria Leiniger sent me some walkers, canes, crutches and roller walker seats in the last container.
Many times these items can make a huge difference in the life of someone else.

November 9, 2012 Wheelchair Giveaway With Repuesto Por Andar in Colonia Kennedy

Wheelchairs all ready to give away!
It takes about 35 minutes per chair to put them together and get them ready to give away.

My friend Renan Inestroza has a non-profit called "Repuesta Por Andar" or "An Answer to Getting Around" and I work with him a lot to give away wheelchairs.  He donates his warehouse space and he helps find volunteers to put the wheelchairs together.
