Geyser In The Kitchen And Great Church Service

One might think it would be an uneventful day... After all it is Sunday... Church, lunch out at a friend's Italian restaurant, a nap, a few calls to the USA. That would be a normal Sunday... but today was not to be a normal Sunday.

I woke up LATE, very late... 9:30 and had to get showered, dressed and drive 15 minutes to church all in less than 30 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes late, but the worship service was still in full swing.

After returning home (and thank God I was home) I heard a kind of small explosion sound and ran into the kitchen to see what was happening. The head had popped off of the kitchen sink spray arm and I had a geyser of water going straight up and hitting the ceiling and then spraying all over the kitchen. The kitchen curtains were soaked, the stove, the spice rack with my 100s of spices, the top of the refrigerator, the microwave was dripping, the clock was dripping, the fruit bowl had converted into a swimming pool for fruit. Cleanup took a while, but with ceramic tile floors and counters it was not too bad. The worst part is that the curtains are drip drying. I felt like Noah for a few minutes. Thank God I was home when it happened. And NO I did not get a photo.... I wish I had but it would have really been a mess if the water had sprayed any longer.

Early January Medical Team 2010

This week my church, Zion Tabernacle, borrowed my farm and held a medical clinic and at the same time gave away childrens shoes and toys. Also they gave away food donated from the United States, sorted, packaged and moved by the local church here in Honduras.

October 31 2009 WheelChair Giveaway At Zion Tabernacle Church

There are so many people that need wheelchairs! I am overwhelmed with the need. Today two little old ladies showed up at church asking for wheelchairs. The word is spreading like wildfire! Bless you Free Wheelchair Mission!

September 6 2009 A Wonderful Day At Church and 3 Wheelchairs Given Away

Her's is a story that would break anyone's heart. Four small children, no way to feed them, so she took off wetback to the USA. The train in Mexico took both of her legs when she fell under it. Until today she had never owned a wheelchair. She cooks and does everything on her stubs and sitting. She was all smiles!


This man came to church for a wheelchair and stayed for the service.

July 12 2009 Wheelchair Giveaway At Zion Tabernacle

Today at church I was able to give away two wheelchairs. It was a sad giveaway for me because there was a young girl who was shot in the head during cross fire between gangs. She was on her school bus riding home innocently sitting in her seat when gang members started shooting at each other across the street, her bus was between the two gangs and she was shot. She is recovering ever so slowly.

The other woman who received a chair has been an invalid since birth. Her mother brought her to church in order to have a chair gifted to her.

Both left very pleased with their new chairs.
